Hyosung provided a sum of 20 million won to be used for facility improvement to Eden Welfare Foundation, a social enterprise located in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, that works to create jobs for the severely disabled, on June 29. 

The support fund provided by Hyosung will be used for the replacement of dilapidated facilities at the foundation′s vocational rehabilitation, etc. The replacement is expected to encourage the workers there to work more efficiently and minimize safety incidents. 

Hyosung also plans to donate 1,500 used computer devices for the Combridge (Computer+Bridge) Project run by said foundation. The disabled are hired for the work of disassembling parts of scrapped computer devices (computer, laptop, printer, scanner, etc.) for recycling. 

Hyosung has provided support fund to Eden Welfare Foundation and donated more than 10,000 second-hand computer devices for ten years since 2014. 

Commenting on the matter, Hyosung Chairman CHO Hyun-joon stressed the ″need to engage in activities for sharing what we have with the less privileged.″ 

Hyosung strives to engage in a variety of social contribution activities for the disabled under the social contribution-related slogan ″We will be with you through sharing.″ Some examples of what the Company does in said field include working with the Purme Foundation to help the disabled children receive rehabilitation treatment, invitation of families of the disabled to trips accompanied by the families of Hyosung employees, and arrangement for the disabled to receive free dental care.
